Submissions are open to photographers of any nationality, origin, or location, working with analog and digital photography. The selection process focuses on the originality, innovation, photographic quality, and the diversity of techniques used in each project. Five outstanding artists will be selected and awarded incredible prizes, including a two-month solo exhibition at the Experimental Hub in Barcelona, a 10-month photography Diploma in Experimental Photography, a full pass to the Experimental Photo Festival 2025, €200 in cash, and global exposure. A panel of experimental photography experts will review your work, including Pablo Giori, Arantxa Berganzo, Emiliano Covello, and Astrid Jacomme. These professionals bring a wealth of knowledge in both the artistic and academic realms, ensuring that each entry is evaluated carefully and fairly.

About Experimental Hub and Experimental Photo Festival
Experimental Hub Photo & Art Space is the permanent exhibition space of the Experimental Photo Festival in Barcelona, where avant-garde experimental photography and related art forms converge. It is a vibrant meeting point for international artists, fostering creativity, collaboration, and innovation from three festivals: Mecal (Barcelona International Short Film and Animation Festival), KIBLIND Illustration Atelier (France) and Experimental Photo Festival. The hub showcases emerging artists through experimental photography, video, and visual poetry, and is located within Mecal Factory, in the modern neighbourhood of Poblenou which connects photography with audiovisual works, illustration, and music.
The Experimental Photo Festival is the leading festival looking for the future creative, alternative and experimental photography. It brings together every year over 300 artists and photography enthusiasts each year to share knowledge, collaborate, and explore the many facets of experimental photography. Supported by the Institut d'Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya and the Pati Llimona Civic Centre, the festival offers 50 workshops, 20 conferences, and 24 exhibitions, promoting learning and collaboration in the field of experimental photography.
