Submissions are open to photographers of any nationality, origin, or location, working with analog and digital photography. The selection process focuses on the originality, innovation, photographic quality, and the diversity of techniques used in each project. Five outstanding artists will be selected and awarded incredible prizes, including a two-month solo exhibition at the Experimental Hub in Barcelona, a 10-month photography Diploma in Experimental Photography, a full pass to the Experimental Photo Festival 2025, €200 in cash, and global exposure. A panel of experimental photography experts will review your work, including Pablo Giori, Arantxa Berganzo, Emiliano Covello, and Astrid Jacomme. What winners receive
Prizes for Selected Artists. The five chosen artists will receive:
A two-month solo exhibition at the Experimental Hub Barcelona.
Enrollment in the Diploma in Experimental Photography at Ágora, a 10-month program valued at €600.
A full pass to the Experimental Photo Festival 2025, including two 4-hour workshops, valued at €230.
€200 in cash to support the production of their exhibition or their presence at the event.
Promotion through email campaigns and social media channels of Experimental Photo Festival, Agora, the School of Experimentation, and the Experimental Hub–reaching a community of over 45,000 photography enthusiasts.

About Experimental Hub and Experimental Photo Festival
Experimental Hub Photo & Art Space is the permanent exhibition space of the Experimental Photo Festival in Barcelona, where avant-garde experimental photography and related art forms converge. It is a vibrant meeting point for international artists, fostering creativity, collaboration, and innovation from three festivals: Mecal (Barcelona International Short Film and Animation Festival), KIBLIND Illustration Atelier (France) and Experimental Photo Festival. The hub showcases emerging artists through experimental photography, video, and visual poetry, and is located within Mecal Factory, in the modern neighbourhood of Poblenou which connects photography with audiovisual works, illustration, and music.
The Experimental Photo Festival is the leading festival looking for the future creative, alternative and experimental photography. It brings together every year over 300 artists and photography enthusiasts each year to share knowledge, collaborate, and explore the many facets of experimental photography. Supported by the Institut d'Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya and the Pati Llimona Civic Centre, the festival offers 50 workshops, 20 conferences, and 24 exhibitions, promoting learning and collaboration in the field of experimental photography.
