Form. With the support of photo basel, Picter, and Form., we are proud to launch the Form Photo Award 2026, dedicated to contemporary photography.
This annual photography competition is devoted to discovering emerging voices, fresh aesthetics, and thought-provoking themes.
It aims to foster global dialogue, intellectual exchange, and cross-cultural solidarity within the art community.
In recent years, alongside receiving a cash prize, winners of the Form Photo Award had their projects exhibited in Paris and during Miami Scope with Form Gallery.
For 2026, the winners will receive free participation in the photo basel Fair 2026 during Art Basel.
Exhibiting at this leading-edge art fair—attended annually by thousands of gallerists, curators, collectors, critics, and photography professionals—offers an unparalleled opportunity to reach new audiences, gain meaningful recognition, and connect with key figures in the international photography scene.
The winning projects will also be featured in Form Magazine, providing further exposure to an international readership and enhancing the artists’ professional visibility.
Our previous winners’ exhibition at Miami Art Scope was attended by over 80,000 visitors.
Works by past winners were sold to private collectors and institutions, offering an exceptional opportunity to advance their careers and establish themselves in the high-end art market.
Main Prize
The top five winners will have their projects exhibited at the photo basel Art Fair in June 2026, during Art Basel Week, where they will be seen by thousands of visitors.
The winning projects will also be featured in Form Magazine, offering international exposure, professional visibility, and opportunities to connect with collectors and art professionals and to sell their work.
The exhibition will be fully organized and funded by Form.Gallery, including printing and logistics.
Shortlist
Ten shortlisted artists will take part in a digital exhibition at the photo basel Art Fair during Art Basel.
Their work will be included in the official exhibition catalogue and published in Form Magazine.
Longlist
Photographers selected for the longlist will receive personalized submission reviews.
We believe every artist deserves thoughtful insight into their work, and these reviews are designed to support artistic development and improve success in future photography competitions.
Longlisted artists will receive detailed, constructive feedback from experienced professionals in the field.
