Cash PrizeThe Centre for British Photography is delighted to announce the third year of its grants programme, supporting artists working with photography across Britain.
These are not support grants, but awards designed to enable photographers and artists working with photography to bring an ongoing project to completion within one year.
They are open to individuals of all ages, regardless of academic background.
The submission deadline for this year is March 1, 2026.
What grantees receive
An award to be used by the applicant to complete the project within one year.
Recipients of the Centre’s Realisation Grants will also have the opportunity to take part in expert mentorship sessions with the team and trustees of the Centre for British Photography.
The annual Realisation Grants have been highly successful, and the Centre is increasing the award amounts.
Applicants may now apply for awards ranging from £2,000 to £4,000.
The amount awarded will be at the discretion of the judges.
What can be submitted
Digital files must be submitted through Picter’s image portal.
CV: submitted as a PDF or within the character limit
Bio: maximum of 1,500 characters
Project Description: maximum of 2,500 characters
Project Proposal: maximum of 3,000 characters (no PDFs)
Each file may include a description of up to 100 characters
Project classification: maximum of 100 characters
The jury encourages applications that have not been previously submitted.
About the Centre for British Photography
The Centre for British Photography (registered charity number 1190955) was founded in 2020 and supports photographers working in Britain through exhibitions, events, grants, and mentoring.
The charity provides a platform for a wide range of voices, presenting an expansive view of the diversity of photography, past and present.
Major supporters include the Broccoli Foundation and the Hyman Collection.
