Exhibition
Here is your chance to exhibit your photography in our fine art gallery in Royal Leamington Spa, England.
Selected images will be displayed in a print exhibition at Gallery Photiq.

For the next group exhibition we want to see your visions for abstraction.

The goal of abstraction in photography is to reduce the subject matter to its essential nature, so the viewer experiences an emotional or intellectual response purely based on the aesthetic elements.
This is accomplished by removing context—eliminating visual clues in the composition that would provide more detailed information about the scene or subject matter.

There are varying degrees of abstraction in photography.
If a viewer can't identify the original subject matter that was photographed, we might consider that 'completely abstract'.
But this isn't a technical criteria, and is not required in this exhibition.
We are happy to see photos presenting degrees of abstraction. (So even if the subject matter is recognisable, that's OK.)

As with all our exhibitions, we really want to see captivating photos that convey your clearest personal expressions.

Your photos can be of any subject and may be colour, black-and-white… or anything in-between.
The photos could have been taken anywhere in the world, at any time.
You can enter pictures taken with any kind of camera, including smartphones and other mobile devices.
(Photos shot on film will need to be scanned and uploaded as digital images.)
No prints, slides or other physical media are accepted for entry.

Be sure to carefully read the instructions regarding digital image resolutions (provided after you have paid your entry fees).

If you have any questions about the criteria or anything else about the competition and exhibition, contact us before entering.

Entry is open to all photographers aged 18+.

There is no limit to the number of entries you can submit.
During checkout, you can also purchase a professional review of your entries.

Note: For the print exhibition, one photo will be exhibited per successful entrant.
More photos may be shown in our online galleries and social media.

One photographer with the 1st Place winning photograph will receive £100 GBP cash prize and will be offered a solo exhibition at Gallery Photiq, at a later date to be agreed.
One 2nd Place winner will receive £50 cash and a one-hour live portfolio review.
Highly Commended recipients will be featured in our social media and online galleries.
